Last night (24 Jan), Norwegian alternative rockers Hurra Torpedo came crashing into the Czech Republic and set their sights firmly on the City of Brno, nothing was safe...Cookers, Washing Machines, Brooms, Toastie machines - you name it, they smashed it up and the crowd loved it!

The band appeared in their infamous dark blue old school 3 stripe tracksuits with ass cracks on view for all to see but as the band played their intro disaster struck...they blew a fuse! They promptly thanked the crowd, took a bow (on top of their well placed cookers & washing machines) and headed off stage to a massive cheer from the crowd.

A few minutes later they re-appeared on stage, the crowd again giving them a huge cheer and they made their way through their set list, Guitars blaring, bass pounding and "Drummer/Percussionist" Kristopher Schau using whatever he had to hand to put together a beat on his kit, pieces of plastic piping and brooms flying everywhere..at one stage even providing an electric whisk solo on a guitar.

As the night went on the crowd were given a mix of the bands own songs, some local favourites with a couple of their well known covers thrown in for good measure - the crowd sang along with Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" and then probably the most eagerly awaited, Bonnie Tyler's "Total eclipse of the heart" including the full on chaos of Aslag Guttormsgaard taking out a cooker with a metal pipe.

Their finale saw bearded bassist Egil Hegerberg play out their final song as a human drum by placing a washing machine drum on his head and then, just when you thought the carnage was over...the concert was brought to a crashing end as Kristopher Schau showed his strength and possible insanity by smashing a cooker, barely missing those at the front of the stage.

If you get the chance to go see these guys, do it! They will put on a show and send you home hugely entertained....and maybe with some pieces of debris as a souvenir.
